Suit alleges snooping during split-up (The Register)
After divorcing his wife, an Illinois man is now suing his ex-wife, alleging she violated the US Electronic Communications Privacy Act and the Stored Communications Act by snooping on his email, according to The Register. Barry Epstein claims that Paula Epstein obtained, read and utilized these emails during their divorce proceeding to get a better settlement. Barry Epstein seeks damages for “severe mental anguish”, while Paula Epstein made a filing in response to the complaint denying the charges, saying she only accessed emails her husband had left open on their shared computer.
