Kushner adds defense attorney Abbe Lowell to Russia-investigation legal team (The Washington Post)
Jared Kushner, son-in-law of President Trump and current White House adviser, is said to have retained high-profile defense lawyer Abbe Lowell for advising in the current Russia investigation. Kushner’s business dealings during the 2016 election and possible collusion are under scrutiny by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, including a $285 million loan his real estate company finalized a month before the 2016 Election Day. As a result, Kushner will now engage Lowell for her legal advice and to represent him during any inquiries into the Russian investigation.
