NY Court Keeps Order Halting Sale of Madonna, Tupac Prison Letter (Rolling Stone)
After discovering personal items were being auctioned online at Gotta Have It Collectibles, Madonna is suing her former friend and personal assistant, Darlene Lutz, claiming Lutz stole items, including a letter from musician Tupac Shakur. A judge ruled in July that a temporary restraining order against Lutz be upheld until more facts are uncovered. In 1995, after helping Madonna move, Lutz retained possession of a few of Madonna’s personal items. Lutz claims the obtained items — kept in a number of locations during the time — were not stolen, though the items in question are no longer listed on the website.
